Rainbow Train
Thoughts behind "RAINBOW TRAIN"
My son is 3-years old. He loves trains and colorful colors. There are many different colored trains on the Setagaya Line that run near our house, such as red, blue, and yellow trains. One of them is rainbow-colored, which he loves very much.
When he is looking at the trains, he asks, "What color will come next?" and "Will it be the rainbow one?" When the rainbow-colored train appears, he has a big smile and exclaims with joy, "Yay! It's the rainbow train!"
Seeing his smile fills me with happiness. I sincerely hope that people all over the world can smile in the same way.
From that experience, I named the company after my son's favorite color and train.
The "TRAIN" in "RAINBOW TRAIN" has two meanings. The first one is a train as a vehicle. It represents taking people with connections to my company to new and attractive places. There are various destinations. I will ask my clients where they want to go and then run the TRAIN there.
The other is the "TRAIN" as in training: education. As a management consultant, I have been involved in the education of many working adults. I would like to use the know-how I have cultivated through this to create a completely new and truly useful education system. I want to enrich people's lives through the power of education.
Next, a “RAINBOW” is a beautiful and rare sight. It is something unusual that appears only when the conditions are right after the rain. It can only be seen at that certain time and place. I want to offer my clients something special, rarely seen and valuable like a “RAINBOW.” The “RAINBOW” is a symbol of added value.
I want to take you all to new and fascinating places that you have never seen before aboard a unique and beautiful, special train. I want you to be happy in those places.
This is why I started my company.
Why Singapore?
Because it is a major city in Southeast Asia, a hub where goods, people, money, and information converge and are exchanged. People from all over the world gather here, blending various cultures to form a wonderful and unique cultural tapestry. The city is clean, safe, and provides a secure environment for families to live comfortably together.
I considered Singapore to be the ideal place to get inspiration from various stimuli (inspire), transform the current situation (innovate), and attain the goal of creating something new (create).
I believe that stepping outside of Japan and breaking out of the everyday routine will lead to the creation of new ideas and innovations.
A Dream Beyond Business Management
Looking at my son, I noticed the high level of absorption and growth in early childhood. And the insatiable curiosity. Through raising my child, I have come to understand the importance of providing as many positive stimuli as possible during this crucial early childhood period. I want my son to have as many experiences as possible. I want to raise him in an environment where he can go to various places around the world, meet different people, and experience diverse atmospheres. This was another reason why I started the company in Singapore. I wanted to give him the opportunity to leave Japan and learn about the world.
And I want to develop and provide a truly beneficial educational curriculum for early childhood to my son. As he will be growing up while I am developing it, it may not be possible to develop the curriculum in time. However, I would be happy if I could offer that curriculum to children who are yet to be born, and to children younger than my son. Developing an educational curriculum for early childhood is a dream that I have and it lies just a little beyond my current business management reality.
Value-added Services
We provide three value-added services.
Management Consulting
I have provided various kinds of consultation to about 100 small and medium-sized enterprises in Japan each year in such areas as marketing, strategy planning, fundraising, and human resource development. Using this experience and know-how, I provide management consulting to local companies and Japanese companies in Singapore.
I have also served as a director at a consulting company specializing in business succession. I have advised many small and medium-sized enterprises on the key to successful business succession and worked with them to advance the succession. Using this experience and know-how, I provide services such as the transfer of know-how from the current management to the successor, the succession of assets, and the settlement of differing opinions between family members.
